Top and Leggings....
Ever wanted to give your neoprene garments a heat boost?
This top is a combination of Spandex (10%) and polypropylene (90%)
offering a perfect layering material. Normal Lycra rash tops are cooling
layers designed to cool the body, this top has the outward appearance of
a Lycra top but has a brushed 'fleece like' inside to provide good
thermal qualities. It also remains remarkably dry since the
polypropylene material hates water. Wear it under neoprene wetsuits,
your Aquafleece, Hot Top, Thermaflex top, or Dry Suit....... in fact the
possibilities are endless - this top would be great under your ski suit,
down the gym, cycling etc.
JDE Comment: Apart from being an absolute necessity for your sailing
wardrobe, I can confirm it is great for cycling on cold days. On a
ride in Jasper in May it was just above freezing and I wore the top and
leggings as the base layer. For the legs, it is not as warm as
normal leg warmers as it tends to let the wind through, but under
legwarmers or tights it works well. The high neck is also good on
the colder days. I am also told by an employee here that the
PolyPro top is exceptional as a water ski garment.
A combination of the PolyPro top and an Aquafleece covers most sailing
conditions. Buy both and take another $5.00 USD or CAD off your
total!
